Specialist Therapeutic Support for Complex Needs

At Stepping Stones Children’s Homes Limited, we provide a continuum of care for children and young people aged 8–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild learning disabilities. Our homes provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people aged 8–18. We offer long-term residential placements, with a focus on emotional safety, trauma recovery, and personal growth. Each child receives a bespoke care plan, developed in partnership with professionals, families, and local authorities, ensuring the highest quality outcomes and a true sense of belonging.

Therapeutic & Clinical Support

At Stepping Stones Children’s Homes Ltd, therapeutic care is at the core of our work. In partnership with Building Capital Psychology, our teams receive expert clinical guidance, reflective supervision, and ongoing consultation. This ensures every care plan is evidence-based and tailored to each young person’s unique needs. Guided by the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), our staff create a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment where children can build trust, heal, and develop lasting resilience.

At Stepping Stones Children’s Homes our highly trained Registered Managers take time to really understand each child - their history, needs, strengths and risks. From this, we decide together the right level of staffing whether 1:1 or 2:1 to make sure every young person feels safe, supported and truly cared for. This personalised approach means children get the consistency and attention they need to build trust and make real progress in their lives.

Walking Every Step in Safety

At Stepping Stones Children’s Homes we ensure safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. From the first stage of recruitment staff on – boarding receive in-depth training in child protection, LADO procedures and risks such as CSE and county lines. This training continues throughout their journey with us creating a culture where children are not only kept safe but feel safe — valued, protected and able to grow with confidence.
